AMO IL LINO will be held from 4 to 11 may 2017 in the heart of Milan: an event geared towards the general public, halfway between an artistic installation and an educational exhibition, devised by the designer Philippe Nigro.
The exhibition will present the different stages of flax transformation, a complex and perfectly controlled process from plant to yarn to fabric, finishing with a display of everyday objects. An exceptional installation, from the Piazetta Croce Rossa to the Piazza San Babila, all the way through Via Montenapoleone. A flax field for the very first time in Milan, and all steps of transformation via yarn and fabric, up to finished products. A spectacular overhead installation all along the 450m of the itinerary, of linen fabrics which will light up in the evenings.
